Securly, Inc. (“Securly”) conducts visitor registration and screening services (the “Services”) on behalf of School. This Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) describes the collection, use, retention and disclosure of information, pursuant to these Services, including the information submitted through the Visitor application (the “Visitor App”). If you have any questions about School’s information practices, please contact School directly.
BY REGISTERING AS A VISITOR THROUGH THE VISITOR APP, YOU ARE EXPRESSLY AGREEING TO THE COLLECTION, USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AS EXPLAINED IN THIS PRIVACY NOTICE, INCLUDING THAT (I) YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE INFORMATION (INCLUDING PHOTO AND DATA FROM THE MACHINE READABLE PORTION OF SUCH) WILL BE SCANNED, PHOTOGRAPHED OR OTHERWISE CAPTURED AND RETAINED, AND (II) YOUR INFORMATION WILL BE SCREENED AGAINST PUBLIC REGISTRIES AS PART OF SCHOOL’S SAFETY, SECURITY AND VISITOR SCREENING PRACTICES.
1. Information Collected
Your personal information (“Visitor Information”) is collected and processed as part of the Service. In order to register, you will be asked to provide information directly, which may include:
- your driver’s license, identification card, passport or other photo ID; information from your driver’s license, identification card, passport or other photo ID (“ID Document”) will be captured as part of the Services, for example by swiping or scanning the front and back, including the "machine readable” portion of your ID Document in order to access additional information, including your name and date of birth. If you do not want your driver’s license scanned or swiped, you may manually enter this information and present your driver’s license to registration personnel for confirmation.
- your name, gender, date of birth and contact information
- your photograph
- the reason for your visit
As directed by School, Visitor Information will also be screened against information from the public sex offender registries, and may be screened against School registries (including banned individuals and authorized and unauthorized pickup lists).
2. Use and Processing of Visitor Information
Securly will process and retain Visitor Information according to the instructions of School, including:
- For identity verification
- To register and maintain visitor registration records on behalf of School
- To create visitor badges
- For visitor screening and security purposes on behalf of School, including screening against public sex offender registries as explained above
- To streamline registration for return visitors
Visitor Information may also be used to improve, analyze and report on the performance of the Services, or as necessary to:
- comply with the law, legal process or other legal or regulatory obligations
- investigate, prevent, report or take action regarding suspected fraud, misconduct, or illegal or unauthorized activities and other situations involving potential threats to the rights, health or safety of School, any person or third party
- to defend the legal interests and rights of School, Securly and others.
School may deny or revoke any visitor pass in accordance with School and district policies, including but not limited to denying or revoking a visitor pass for any visitor as a result of the Services.
3. Disclosure of Personal Information
Visitor Information is available to the School, and may be disclosed to other School representatives, agents, vendors or providers as directed by the School, as well as to Securly’s vendors who perform services (such as cloud storage) on our behalf, as well as in order to conduct screening against public registries as explained above. In addition, information may be shared or disclosed in order to:
- respond to legal process (such as a court order, subpoena, government investigation)
- comply with the law or other legal or regulatory obligations
- investigate, prevent, report or take action regarding suspected fraud, misconduct or other illegal or unauthorized activities and other situations involving potential threats to the rights, health or safety of any person or third party
- defend the legal interests and rights of School, Securly and others (including in litigation in which we are involved)
As part of any actual or contemplated merger, sale, transfer of assets, acquisition, financing and/or restructuring of all or part of our business, bankruptcy or similar event, Visitor Information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. Securly also may disclose aggregate or de-identified information for research, analytics and/or other purposes, provided this information does not identify and could not reasonably be linked to a particular individual.

For questions about School’s practice or to submit a request regarding your personal information collected through the Services, on behalf of School, please contact the School directly. If you think that your personal information processed through the Services is incorrect, including the results of any visitor screening, you should notify the school directly.
Securly has posted a copy of this Privacy Notice at https://www.securly.com/visitor-privacy-policy and we will post any changes to this Notice there and within the Visitor App. If Securly makes any material changes to this Notice, they will not be applied to the personal information previously collected from you without your consent.
